Form DS-4076 for Guidance in Preparing a “Request for Commodity Jurisdiction”
DDTC plans to receive and adjudicate Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ) determination requests electronically via the D-Trade system. A form, DS-4076, has been designed for this purpose and is being developed for D-Trade use. In the interim, DDTC offers this form and instructions as guidance for the preparation of CJ determination requests. This form is not meant for hardcopy use. Please do not fill out the form and send it to DDTC for review (it will be Returned Without Action).
Once the DS-4076 is fully developed for the D-Trade system, its use will be mandatory. Adherence to the revised CJ guidelines as captured in this form and accompanying instructions even at this time, however, can help ensure that your CJ determination request has all the information that is necessary and sufficient for timely, accurate U.S. Government review.
A further announcement will be made when Form DS-4076 is integrated into D-Trade and its use becomes mandatory.
